Dear Sir,

 

                                                     SPECIAL INVITATION

 

In January, 1970 a generation of young Nigerians were admitted into the then Ochaja Secondary School, which coincided with the employment of the young and energetic Vice Principal. By 14^th June, 1974 these students left Ochaja into an uncertain world with innocent and suppressed anxiety.

 

To the glory of God, those young boys and girls have today matured in age, stature, and status.

 

There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come. Thirty-two years after graduation from Ochaja, a need has arisen for us to come together under a common platform and to thank Almighty God for His continuous and abundant mercy and grace over our lives.

 

In looking back at our Alma Mata, we can never write a complete history of our journey in life through Ochaja without a large portion devoted to one man who helped to shape our lives during the formative stages. The man was our Tutor in General Science in form one 1970 and in 1971 become our Principal. He was also our Chemistry Master in form three. The man was and still is a principled personality and a role model to us. He is a man with a focus and direction in his walk with God.

 

We can never forget the man who was and still is a disciplinarian and yet imbued with the milk of human kindness. This man is MR. OBADIAH DAUDA TEBU.

 

When you married in 1972, you both combined forces and efforts to care and mold us. Your commitment helped to set us up on the path of success in our lives. They were also responsible for many of us having personal encounter with God.

 

When you both left us in 1973 due to your principled stand, we were directly the victim of the circumstances responsible for your departure.

 

Ochaja  class of 1974 cherishes you and your wife with relish till today. We recall your tenure at Ochaja with nostalgia.

 

Ochaja class of 1974 has regrouped its members. There will God willing be a thanks giving and general meeting of the surviving members at Lokoja on 16^th April 2006. The venue of the general meeting is Club House (Commissioners’ Quarters). The timing and Church venue shall be communicated to you in due course.

 

In order to rekindle the good old memories of your tenure at Ochaja and to appreciate you and your wife for what you both mean to us. The class has mandated me to invite you to the thanks giving and our general meeting to give a key note address and declare the meeting open.

 

I have further mandate to plead with you not to turn down this special invitation as we value you so much. Do not turn this down please as all members of the class want to see you again. Please kindly honour this invitation because it is the right thing to do. With all respect, we wish to equally plead that you come along with your lovely wife. 

 

Sir, we are all who or what we are today because God use you both to impact our lives.

 

While awaiting your positive response, please accept the assurances of our very high regards for your esteemed personality.
